They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this update covers our last few months in Ontario, Ohio and Haiti! We think the pictures say it all, but couldn't miss the opportunity to share our thoughts with you!

Aout

We engaged for a day with Pine Orchard Free Methodist Camp in Newmarket, ON. It was a day sharing Gods active work in Dessalines and catching up with old friends!

Our sweet Delaney was just 3 weeks old when her Mommy was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Those were tough days!

Grandma spent time cuddling while Mommy rested and recovered for the journey ahead. God's timing was perfect, and for that we were so thankful!

Grandpa enjoying some quiet time with Delaney!

It's always a pleasure to return to Newcastle Fellowship Baptist, our sending church, and share in ministry. We really appreciated the Haitian flag on the platform.

Celebrating a first ... birthdays as Grandpa and Grandma :)

We drove to Ohio, enroute to Haiti, and joined Jordan at Design Outreach Give Water Gala. Jordan is their lead engineer and is helping change the story and change the future for clean water in impoverished countries like Haiti, and parts of Africa

Turbulent skies greeted us along Route 1 as we approached Dessalines

Happy people were found in Bois Marie when we surveyed the rebuild this family was blessed with after their home was destroyed by fire in May. They were grateful for NorthPoint Surgical Teams assistance and prayers

We shared Gods love through prayer and financial support to Nek's family when Mireldas mom suddenly passed away. Nek is the son of Tilom, a long time watchman with us and trained in construction with Burt

September saw 161 babies born at Hôpital Claire Heureuse, to be succeeded in October by 183. This is encouraging as it means more moms and babes are receiving maternal care, but a little daunting for the population growth!!

We travelled the roads to Bois Marie for a couple of weeks after our arrival to complete a pastors house. We are always grateful when our friends partner in ministry with us. Tammy Taylor & co. from NFBC, for the last few years, have made and sold Jamaican beef patties. With their generosity they have helped make a pastors dream come true. A new home! Watch our next update for the finished product! This pic shows Burt's construction crew hard at work inside the house.

The hospital is "under construction" once again. New bathroom facilities, renovated scrub and sterilization rooms and new laundry area are all in the works.
Yodi works diligently on a floated door frame. Many have invested in Yodi over the years and he has become a fine mason! Pechinat looks on

Overview of the bathroom which will have 6 new stalls and 4 showers. A much needed service the hospital and community will appreciate

Miss Bernadette is a very valued asset to the maternity department. We love to celebrate and honoured her with birthday cake!

Burt and his main man Samson discussing business on the rooftop

It's always a challenge when the electrical and plumbing work are hidden ... or should I say a nightmare!

Another view of the bathrooms ...

Novembre

Meetings are part of our every week. We engage, discuss the future and plan for next steps

Miss Bernadette and I are happy to share sustainable gifts with others. Check out daysforgirls.org to learn about sustainable personal feminine hygiene. That's a win/win for the woman receiving and the hospital infrastructure. Exciting!

HCH leadership welcomes Ms Stephanie as the Community Health Director overseeing 9 community and remote clinics

Burt & Sandy sharing in a hymn to close the ceremony.
Thanks for following us and keeping up with what's happening in our lives, and our ministry work. We are grateful for your love and encouragement

Praise & Prayer ...

Praise that God works in all ways, in all things, at all times
Pray that God will be given the glory through the work He has called us to engage in
Pray against an outbreak of diphtheria in our area and hospital, that Gods healing hand will be on those affected and His protection on those caring for them
Pray for the hospital leadership and staff as they "Evangelize, Teach and Heal" at Hôpital Claire Heureuse

Pray that as we approach this season of advent we seize every opportunity to share the greatest gift ever received, Jesus Christ
