Here is a photo of our friend,Celibien, who was injured in a motorcycle taxi accident while travelling to Gonaives on August 11th.  He spent 6 weeks with his leg in a full cast, and now has progressed to crutches after receiving extensive damage to his foot, where the ankle bone was protruding through the skin, and also damage to his knee.

We arrived in Haiti on September 26th, to find him sitting in a chair, under a tree watching the days pass by.  Celibien is an intelligent young guy and had been attending school in Port au Prince.  Unfortunately, this accident set him back, both financially and academically.

This is where the great news starts ... the obedience of the body of Christ coming alongside!  Just under a week ago an email was sent out for a plea to help Celibien with his medical bills of approx $1400.00 USD ... a large sum of money that he did not have.  Within a mere 36 hours we had received pledges to cover over and above his medical bills, and also enough to provide food for him.  On top of that there were additional funds pledged to be used for the next person who has a set back!

The parable Jesus shared of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25 became very real to us.  Unless we live out our faith daily, as scripture instructs us to, we are not being obedient servants. We all want to hear the King reply (to the sheep, his righteous people), "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."   Many of you may know the kids song with the chorus 'I just wanna be a sheep ... baaa, baaa, baaa, ba!  I just wanna be a sheep .... baaa, baaa, baaa, ba!  I praise the Lord my soul to keep, I just wanna be a sheep ... baaa, baaa, baaa, ba!!!'  Let's all make sure we're sheep, living for the King and in obedience to Him each and every day, wherever he has planted you!!

P.S.  Thanks for blessing our ministry and Celibiens life by your generosity.  Your obedience is a testimony of God's abounding love, grace and mercy in a young man's life, along with an ordinary couple who are in Haiti doing our best to follow God's call.
